“This is the reproduction of the original chromolithographs plate titled “Diplothemium”, published between1823 and 1850 as part of the highly illustrated, three-volume botanical book of palms by German botanist Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius titled “Natural History of Palms”. The artwork has been printed onto Airtex canvas, with its brilliant colours and accurate detail carefully restored. Hand-mounted with aged timber batons and 100% hemp rope, each piece is supplied ready to hang. Each artwork comes rolled and ready to hang, individually wrapped in a protective cotton sock and sturdy cardboard box.”
